Yay for May!

It was warm and sunny today and the kids played in the backyard for 3 hours! WOO!!! I believe they were building a pill bug habitat and making food for imaginary friends of some sort. I'm just thrilled they were getting fresh air and I didn't have to tell them no for three whole hours. Well, except when the little one got stuck climbing a fence... but we caught her. ;)

Other good news - I've picked a story and I'm 1000 words into it. The invariable bad news is I've written it in two different styles so far and I can't decide which works best. What is this new form of self sabotage?! Why must I thwart myself so?!

My goal for this week is to pick a voice and stick with it. Of course, then I'll be stuck on the fence of some other issue... much like my two year old today.

It was nice and sunny this weekend! The sunshine was a very nice change! I hear the week is supposed to be nice too! :)

And thank you for your birthday wishes! :) I am so excited, and I can't believe either that I am turning 21. I remember when your sis turned 21! And I thought it was the most womanly of ages! haha! I still feel like I'm 17.

I started Starcaster three times before I found the right voice, which turned out to be first person.

Blaze, I still feel the same way I did when I was 17. And I'm 42. It never changes. I think you stay stuck at the same mental age in your mind that you were when you finally realize that you are grown up.

Wow, now I feel all profound.

I am loving our nice weather, too. Not too hot, not too cold - perfect! I will be complaining in another month or so, when the temperatures rocket into the 90's!
