Editing Update

I'm about 1/3 of the way through the edits now. I wanted to push hard last night, but the consensus among those who love me is that I need more sleep. Which doesn't speak well of my sunny attitude. ;)

So, hopefully I'll be working on my book during daylight hours in the days to come with a little help from my friends. I bet the book will even benefit from my increased wakefulness!

It's week 31 now of the pregnancy - 63 days to go. The kid's packing on the pounds. This is when I typically fall apart... so I'm basically right on schedule!

Wow; writing while pregnant. I admire you. My brain stopped working when I was pregnant. I especially noticed it on the job, because I was programming in C++ during that particular period of my life. All I did after work was watch reruns and reread novels. I had nine months of writer's block.

Honestly, I do too. That's one of the reasons I pushed so hard to have the actual draft of the book done before I got pregnant - so I'm just editing now. It's definately harder to stay focused while pregnant, but not as hard as writing a first draft.

I'd love to know what that prego brain phenomoenon really is, but I know it's real!

PS I didn't know you were a techie! I was an IT consultant in my former life. ;)

The Pregnant Brain works about as well as a Hungry Brain. You can't code without a good breakfast. Same goes for when you're pregnant!

Yup, I've been a professional techie for about eleven years now. I'm programming in Access now -- a step down according to my programming brethren. However, it's a lot of fun and I'm doing stuff that's not covered in ANY Access book. I was thinking about writing a book called "Programming In Access Using Methods That Microsoft Never Dreamed Of".

But I'll never sell a book that has a title ending with a preposition!
